January 2025
Tuesday January 7 at 7:00 pm - COINversation with panelists from Gorge ICE Resistance, a group from The Dalles with a lot of experience working with local officials, supporting the immigrant community, and filing successful lawsuits against the regional jail with respect to their cooperation with ICE. Among other actions, this group protested in front of the regional jail every day for more than 3 years until the regional jail ended its contract with ICE to house immigration detainees.
Friday, January 17th through Monday, January 20th - Indivisible's Help Over Hate Weekend of Service. Indivisible groups nationwide will unite for a weekend of service to honor Martin Luther King Day (which is sadly, ironically, also Inauguration day) and stand in start contrast to MAGA's hate-filled Project 2025 Agenda. Groups can be reimbursed for up to $200 for expenses. Get the Help Over Hate Toolkit here and start planning your group's service action now.
Tuesday January 21 at 7:00 pm - COIN Meeting, topic to be determined but we anticipate a LOT to talk about on the day after Inauguration Day.
